You can uninstall using the Macromedia
Flash Player Uninstaller (below) or remove the
Macromedia Flash Player manually.

Download the Macromedia Flash Player
Uninstaller:
Save the file to your system, choosing
a location where
you can find it
(for example, your
Desktop). |

Close your browser
completely. |

Run the
uninstaller. This will uninstall Macromedia
Flash Player from all browsers on the

Quit the browser.
(Netscape,
CompuServe,
or Opera) |

Navigate to the plug-ins folder in your
browser's
directory. |

Locate the Plug-ins folder inside the browser
application
folder.
For example, C:\Program Files\Netscape\plug-ins\ (Windows), or /usr/bin/Netscape/plug-ins/ (Linux or Solaris).
The exact location of plug-ins folder may
vary depending
on platform/browser. |

Locate the Macromedia Flash Player plug-in:

On Windows, the plug-in is named
NPSWF32.dll . |

On Linux and Solaris the Macromedia
Flash
Player
consists
of
two
files:
libflashplayer.so and ShockwaveFlash.class. |

Delete the plug-in file. Note: If you are
removing
the plug-in
from Netscape
6.2 or
higher,
also remove
the file
flashplayer.xpt and xpti.dat from the
Components
folder.
